Create a Journey
Before filling up the applying form to create a Journey you need to understand what is a Journey at DDH.
Some people call it BlablAirMe, saying it is a mix between Airbnb, BlablaCar and GoFundMe. Having these concepts in mind, a Journey is a project while moving. But even more than that, because you need no house and no car. A Journey is from anyone to everyone.
It is intentionally oriented to all people who are in transit and who can help and be helped by a cause, a goal or a mission.
It is part of the deal as soon as you post on DDH, 10% of the money raised is automatically donated to projects in the country you have chosen to visit. And there's more too. In fact, you will be able to stop and see these projects on the ground. You will learn a little about the community initiative and understand exactly where your money went. In choosing these key projects, we put a strong emphasis on education.
We don't want to become presidential about it, but we really believe that children are our future. We truly believe that travel can make the world a better place and, to that end, we have focused our major travel efforts on three main areas: environment, learning resources and leisure activities.
Some important information you need to know about your own Journey before applying for publication:

What's the Overview of the Journey?
Here is the full description of your Journey. Make as many questions as you want, and keep the answer simple and short. Some questions you may want to start with:
Can people travel with you?
Which cities are you going to visit?
Do you have a schedule of the stops?
What's the reason of the journey?
Which language(s) will you offer your Journey in? You should be able to read, write, and speak in this language.
3 Step way
If you have to create 3 Steps to complete the Journey info, which are those? and what are the main activities for the people that join or donated to the Journey?
Do you have a name for each of these phases?
What will your Journey focus on?
Choose the theme that best describes what guests will enjoy.
Let's describe your Journey
What will you and your guests do?
Provide specific plans from start to finish, not multiple ideas or options
Describe what makes your experience special—something that guests wouldn’t do on their own
Which countries are you going to visit?
It is necessary to know which borders you need to cross, regulations, and laws while traveling. If there is people that can join you during the trip, you need to let them know beforehand that they are going to cross a legal border.
There is also the Geographical side of it. We all want to know if we are going to visit the French Alpes, or the beach of Taormina in Sicily.
We highly recommend to have maps with the road already prepared.

What we're looking for
Journey Hosts are passionate travellers who can make people feel at home while they’re trying something new. They must meet these standards:
Expertise: Having exceptional skill, ability, or background
Access: Giving guests something they couldn’t do on their own
Connection: Making meaningful interactions happen
Let’s go over them together in more detail.
Tell guests (and us) more about you
How are you hosting on DDH?
I’m hosting as a private individual
I’m hosting as a business
Additional people will help me organise the Journey (Great! You’ll be able to add others to your experience as Co-Hosts or assistants after it’s published.)
What makes you uniquely qualified to organise this Journey?
How do you help people and how can they help you?
What are the benefits for the people that help you? You can write 4 of them.
For example:
I am traveling with my van, and I bring cameras and one seat available. I can take you pictures and videos, and you can sleep in my van while we travel. In reward I would like you pay the petrol of the trip and cook during the evenings.
I am cycling the amazing Road 40 in Argentina. If you give me support crossing with you during some cities, I will write your name on the book I will write afterward. You can support me motivating and bringing me 1L of water.
For example:
We are building a self sustainable bus to travel to Qatar 2022. For every 1 EURO you donate to Journey, you can win the bus after the Journey is finished.
If you are in the top 3 of people who brought donators to the Journey, you can get into the planned Journey.
Where should guests meet you?
Specific address of the location. No numbers missing.
Add details about what you’ll provide
You can provide food and drink, special equipment, a ticket to a concert, or anything else special to make your guests comfortable.

My experience does not include any of these activities
Not providing anything for your guests?

Keep in mind
If you’re using an independent business or other third party to provide transportation or equipment for your experience, you should include the name of the business and any other information that might be helpful to the guest. This only applies to transportation and equipment providers - you don’t need to list things like food or drink providers (but you can if you want to!).
Tips
Try to provide special equipment that is usually hard for guests to get on their own
Keep food or drink dietary restrictions, and physical limitations for guests in mind
